This is the approach I took when searching for a great a Christmas gift for my mother. She is the proud owner of a 12 year old yellow Labrador retriever, named Fenway. Using the 7 cleaning cycles a week option, seems to be the best way to keep the house looking post vacuumed as often as possible. This perhaps is its greatest feature, as how many of us pull out the old Kirby on a daily basis?

How Can the Pet Series 562 Make My Life Easy?

The iRobot Roomba Pet Series can clean up to four rooms on a single battery charge ( up to seven hours!). One thing to note however is that they base this on a 100 square foot room, so adjust your expectations accordingly. Like all Roombas, the 562 model comes with virtual walls (two come with this model) to keep your robo-vac out of areas you don’t want it to be in. Set these up as a virtual barrier where you do not want the Roomba to cross. This is especially beneficial to homes where children have their own play area that tend to have many un-vacuum-able toys lying around. Its on-board sensors automatically avoid obstacles such as stairs and other drop-offs that could prove detrimental to the valuable robot.
